HR Generalist
Job summary
We’re looking for a hands-on HR Generalist to support our team at Victoria Island. You’ll be the go-to person for employees on day-to-day HR, compliance, and culture. Great fit if you like variety and working directly with people.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Employee relations*: Handle onboarding, offboarding, queries, grievances, and maintain positive employee experience
- Recruitment*: Post jobs, screen CVs, coordinate interviews, extend offers for mid-level roles
- HR admin & compliance*: Maintain HR records, manage leave/attendance, ensure compliance with Nigeria Labour Act + company policies
- Payroll support*: Liaise with finance to ensure accurate monthly payroll, taxes, pensions, and NHIS
- Policies & engagement*: Draft/update HR policies, run engagement initiatives, performance reviews, and training coordination
Requirements:
- BSc/HND in HR, Business Admin, Psychology, or related field
- 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in Lagos
- Strong grasp of Nigerian Labour Law, payroll, and HRIS tools. CIPM/CIPD certification is a plus
- Discretion with confidential info, strong communication, good judgment, Excel + Google Workspace
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos. On-site role.
