Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff.
- Ensure guest rooms, corridors, and public areas are cleaned and prepared to standard.
- Conduct routine inspections and address quality gaps promptly.
- Train, guide, and motivate housekeeping team members.
- Monitor cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment usage.
- Report maintenance issues and follow up for resolution.
- Handle guest requests and complaints professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of room status, attendance, and housekeeping activities.
Requirements:
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, and safety practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic reporting and record-keeping skills.
- Physically fit and able to stand or walk for long periods.
Qualification & Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in housekeeping within the hospitality industry.
- Proven supervisory experience in a hotel or similar environment.
- OND/HND in Hospitality or related field.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and service mindset.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Must reside in or be willing to commute to Badagry.
