Hotel Porter

Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and assist them with their luggage.
• Escort guests to their rooms and explain the use of room facilities and hotel services.
• Assist guests with carrying luggage during check-in and check-out.
• Transport guest luggage safely to and from guest rooms, reception, and vehicles.
• Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
• Assist guests with requests such as transportation, directions, and room-related needs.
• Deliver messages, parcels, and other items to guest rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the hotel lobby, entrance, and luggage storage areas.
• Assist with parking arrangements and directing vehicles where required.
• Handle guest belongings with care and ensure their security.
• Report lost property, damaged items, and maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
• Work closely with the reception, housekeeping, and security departments.
• Maintain professional conduct and a friendly attitude when dealing with guests.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Minimum of secondary school education; additional hospitality training is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a hotel or customer service environment is desirable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry luggage.
• Honest, trustworthy, polite, and well-presented.
• Good customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
