The Porter is responsible for assisting guests with luggage, providing courteous guest services, and supporting the front office in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all guests. The role plays a key part in creating a positive first and last impression of the hotel.

Responsibilities:
Guest Assistance:
- Welcome guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional attitude
- Assist guests with carrying luggage to and from rooms
- Escort guests to their rooms and explain room features and hotel facilities
- Provide directions and information about hotel services and local areas
Front Entrance & Lobby Support:
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance and lobby area
- Open doors for guests and assist with arrivals and departures
- Ensure trolleys and luggage carts are clean and available
Luggage Handling:
- Properly tag, handle, and store guest luggage when necessary
- Ensure safe and careful handling of guest belongings
- Deliver luggage promptly and efficiently
Support to Front Office:
- Assist the reception team during busy periods
- Run errands within the hotel (e.g., delivering messages, documents, or items to rooms)
- Help in coordinating guest requests
Safety & Security:
- Monitor activities around the entrance and report suspicious behavior
- Ensure guest property is handled securely
- Follow hotel safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent
- Previous experience in a hotel or customer service role is an advantage
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy luggage
- Basic understanding of hotel operations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly and customer-focused attitude
- Physical strength and stamina
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Polite and well-mannered
- Neat and well-groomed appearance

Working Conditions:
- Requires standing for long periods
