Responsibilities:

• Prepare a variety of Nigerian and international dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
  
• Ensure meals meet acceptable standards of taste, quality, hygiene, portion, and presentation.
  
• Plan and organise daily meal preparation based on menus and requirements.
  
• Measure and use ingredients accurately to maintain consistency and quality.
  
• Ensure meals are prepared and served promptly according to required schedules.
  
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  
• Properly store, handle, and preserve food ingredients to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.
  
• Monitor ingredient and food supply levels and report shortages or replenishment needs.
  
• Minimise food wastage through proper planning, storage, portion control, and efficient use of ingredients.
  
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
  
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
  
• Inspect food ingredients for freshness and quality before use.
  
• Maintain accurate records of food supplies and usage where required.
  
• Work effectively with other kitchen and support staff to ensure smooth food service.
  
• Report equipment faults, food quality issues, or other kitchen-related concerns to management.

Requirements:

• The candidate must be organised, trustworthy, creative, attentive to details, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• This is a live-in position; therefore, the successful candidate must be willing to reside in the accommodation provided by the company.
• Knowledge of continental and intercontinental dishes is an added advantage.
• Excellent food presentation and plating skills.
