Responsibilities:

• Schedule tutoring appointments with parents and students and arrive on time and prepared for lessons.
• Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning in a safe and supportive environment.
• Create educational materials to further demonstrate the subject matter to be covered in tutoring sessions.
• Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
• Create educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.)
• Assess and record students’ progress and provide feedback.
• Connect with parents and keep them informed of the student’s progress and areas to be improved.
• Maintain a tidy and orderly learning environment.
• Plan creative lessons to engage and educate students.
• Promote high standards for academic success and behavior, as well as continually encourage students to meet set standards.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a First Degree in any discipline is required.
• A degree or certification in education will be an advantage. 
• Proven experience as a teacher and thorough knowledge of teaching best practices.
• Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills.
• Well-organized and committed.
• Creative and energetic with strong moral values and discipline.
• Experience in assessing the progress of assigned students to ensure effective processes.
• Professional experience in preparing lesson plans and personalized instruction.
• Experience working with children in a supervised setting.
• Personal accountability and reliability when scheduling sessions with parents and students.
• Ability to teach and to make learning fun.
