Job summary
The Head Teacher (Early Years) provides strategic leadership, manages daily operations, and works closely with parents, staff, and external stakeholders to promote children’s development and wellbeing. They ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, monitor children’s progress, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within our early years setting.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise early years staff (teachers, assistants)
- Manage daily operations of the nursery or early years unit
- Oversee planning and delivery of the early years curriculum (EYFS framework)
- Ensure learning is play-based, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate
- Monitor children’s progress and learning outcomes
- Ensure child safety and well-being at all times
- Implement safeguarding policies and procedures
- Promote a nurturing and inclusive environment
- Build strong relationships with parents
- Communicate children’s progress
- Handle concerns and feedback
Requirements:
- NCE
- 3-5 years experience
