Job summary

A top ten (10) stockbroking firm duly licensed by the Nigerian Securities & Exchange Commission and the Nigerian Exchange Group, as a securities trading and principal investment banking firm, to provide a comprehensive range of investment and financial advisory services, is currently seeking an experienced head of human resources/executive assistant.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:        

  • Work directly with the senior executive to manage their daily activities, including administrative duties
  • Ensuring executives are prepared for meetings, presentations, and events within the stockbroking industry
  • Manage the senior executive’s calendar
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and speaking engagements related to financial markets
  • Stockbroking operations, make domestic and international travel arrangements
  • Assess and determine the urgency of matters requiring the Senior Executive’s attention
  • Redirecting non-essential matters to appropriate staff or handling them personally when necessary, considering the fast-paced nature of the stockbroking industry
  • Act as the first point of contact for the senior executive, managing internal and external communications, including correspondence with clients, regulators (e.g., SEC, NGX), and other stakeholders in the financial sector
  • Oversee the HR department, handling recruitment for roles within the stockbroking firm.
  • Onboarding of new hires, managing employee engagement, performance appraisals
  • Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulatory standards within Nigeria's financial sector
  • Ensure the firm’s HR practices adhere to the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations while also ensuring adherence to company policies and industry best practices.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of proven experience.
  • A minimum of a degree in a related field.
