Job summary

The Head of Human Resources will provide strategic leadership for all HR functions across the organization’s healthcare facilities. The role ensures alignment of HR strategies with business objectives, compliance with healthcare regulations, and development of a high-performing workforce across multiple locations.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Drive workforce planning across all hospital and clinic locations
  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team

 

Talent Management:

  • Lead recruitment for clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Design retention strategies for critical healthcare roles (doctors, nurses, technicians)
  • Oversee performance management systems

 

Employee Relations:

  • Manage disciplinary processes and conflict resolution
  • Foster a positive workplace culture across all branches
  • Ensure consistent HR practices nationwide

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Design competitive salary structures in line with healthcare sector standards
  • Manage benefits programs (health insurance, pensions, allowances)

 

Compliance & Policy:

  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws and healthcare regulations
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures

 

Learning & Development:

  • Establish continuous professional development programs
  • Facilitate mandatory healthcare training and certifications

 

HR Operations:

  • Manage HR metrics and reporting
  • Oversee HRIS systems and payroll processes
  • Standardize HR processes across multiple locations


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • Master’s degree (MBA/MHRM) – preferred
  • 6+ years of HR experience, with at least 4 years in leadership
  • Experience in healthcare or multi-location organizations is highly preferred
  • CIPM, SHRM, or HRCI certification is an added advantage
