MEDPRIME HEALTH SOLUTION

Medprime Health Solutions is a leading multi-service healthcare company dedicated to delivering accessible, high-quality medical services across Nigeria. Our integrated model spans a state-of-the-art Diagnostic Centre, a fully equipped Dialysis Centre, a general and specialist Clinic, and a Medical Equipment Sales & Supply division. ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Head of Business Development will serve as a key driver of Medprime's commercial growth and strategic expansion. This senior leadership role is responsible for identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities across all four business units, forging strategic partnerships, growing revenue streams, and positioning Medprime as the preferred healthcare partner for individuals, corporates, HMOs, and institutions. The ideal candidate brings a blend of healthcare industry knowledge, commercial acumen, and proven leadership in scaling healthcare businesses.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning & Growth

▸  Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with Medprime's overall corporate goals.

▸  Identify and prioritise new market opportunities across diagnostics, dialysis, clinical services, and equipment supply.

▸  Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and feasibility assessments to inform expansion decisions.

▸  Set annual business development targets and KPIs, reporting progress to the CEO and Board.


Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement

▸  Establish and manage relationships with HMOs, insurance companies, corporate organisations, government agencies, and NGOs.

▸  Negotiate and close partnership agreements, service contracts, and memoranda of understanding (MOUs).

▸  Represent Medprime at industry events, trade exhibitions, and professional healthcare forums.

▸  Collaborate with referral networks including hospitals, clinics, and specialist physicians.


Revenue Generation & Sales

▸  Drive revenue growth across all business units through new client acquisition and account retention strategies.

▸  Oversee B2B and B2C sales efforts for the Medical Equipment Sales & Supply division.

▸  Develop pricing strategies and service packages to enhance competitiveness and profitability.

▸  Manage key accounts and ensure a high level of client satisfaction and renewal rates.


Marketing & Brand Positioning

▸  Work closely with the marketing team to develop campaigns, digital content, and promotional materials.

▸  Strengthen Medprime's brand visibility and thought leadership in the Nigerian healthcare space.

▸  Lead initiatives for community outreach, health talks, and CSR activities to build public trust.


Team Leadership

▸  Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing business development team.

▸  Foster a results-driven, collaborative culture within the department.

▸  Set performance objectives, conduct appraisals, and support professional development of team members.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

▸  Work with clinical, operations, and finance teams to ensure business initiatives are operationally viable and financially sound.

▸  Provide regular market intelligence and customer insights to inform service improvement and innovation.

▸  Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to enhance the overall patient and client experience.


QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential

▸  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field.

▸  Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in business development or sales, with at least 3 years in a senior or managerial role.

▸  Demonstrated track record of revenue generation and market expansion in the healthcare sector.

▸  Strong network within Nigeria's HMO, corporate health, and healthcare provider ecosystem.

▸  Experience managing complex negotiations and closing high-value contracts.


Preferred

▸  MBA or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.

▸  Prior experience working with diagnostic centres, dialysis units, or medical equipment companies.

▸  Familiarity with NHIA, HMO accreditation processes, and healthcare regulatory landscape in Nigeria.

Starting Salary from N400,000- N700,000 Monthly Based on Experience Including Commission and Bonus structure.
