Job summary

Head, Growth & Strategy is responsible for developing and executing the strategic direction for sustainable growth across all businesses within the our company. The role will identify and unlock new revenue opportunities, improve profitability, strengthen market positioning, drive business expansion, establish strategic partnerships, and institutionalize performance management systems that support long-term organizational success. Working directly with the Managing Director, the successful candidate will transform strategy into execution by leading enterprise-wide initiatives that improve commercial performance across existing businesses while identifying and launching new growth opportunities. The position requires a commercially minded strategist with exceptional analytical capability, execution discipline, leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver measurable business growth.

Responsibilities:
Corporate Growth Strategy:
  • Develop and implement the Group’s strategic growth roadmap.
  • Identify high-value market opportunities.
  • Develop long-term business expansion strategies.
  • Recommend initiatives that improve competitive advantage.
  • Lead annual strategic planning sessions.

Revenue & Commercial Growth:
  • Drive revenue growth across all business units.
  • Improve customer acquisition and customer lifetime value.
  • Identify new revenue streams.
  • Develop pricing and promotional strategies.
  • Increase cross-selling opportunities across subsidiaries.

Customer & Market Development:
  • Design customer growth initiatives.
  • Improve customer retention programmes.
  • Increase market penetration.
  • Develop omnichannel growth strategies.
  • Analyse customer behaviour and purchasing trends.

Strategic Partnerships:
  • Build strategic alliances with corporations, institutions and government agencies.
  • Identify partnership opportunities that increase revenue and brand visibility.
  • Negotiate commercial partnerships.
  • Expand institutional and B2B sales opportunities.

Innovation & Business Development:
  • Identify emerging consumer trends.
  • Recommend new products and services.
  • Develop business cases for new ventures.
  • Support innovation across all business units.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives.

Business Intelligence & Analytics:
  • Develop enterprise performance dashboards.
  • Monitor business KPIs.
  • Analyse profitability by business unit.
  • Prepare executive reports and strategic recommendations.
  • Support data-driven decision making.

Project Leadership:
  • Lead strategic transformation projects.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to expected quality.
  • Track implementation milestones.

Performance Management:
  • Develop growth KPIs for business units.
  • Monitor strategic execution.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews.
  • Recommend corrective actions where necessary.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related discipline.
  • MBA or Master’s Degree is highly desirable.
  • Professional certifications in Strategy, Project Management or Business Analysis will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in Business Strategy, Corporate Development, Retail/FMCG, Hospitality, Consumer Goods or Business Expansion
  • Minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven record of delivering revenue growth and scaling businesses.

  • Strengthening our company's market presence across Delta State and expanding into Lagos and other target markets.
  • Embedding a culture of data-driven strategic decision-making across the Group.

Remuneration: NGN 700,000  – 1,000,000  Monthly Net
