Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Head of Corporate Services to lead our Human Resources function and oversee the corporate support areas, including Administration, IT, Communications, Compliance, Client Relations, and Quality Control, ensuring alignment with our strategic direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Human Resources

  • Lead the development and execution of the organization's overall HR strategy and people agenda
  • Translate business objectives into practical workforce and people strategies
  • Oversee recruitment, workforce planning, onboarding, employee development, retention, and succession planning
  • Lead the organization's performance management framework and promote a strong performance culture
  • Develop and maintain effective HR policies, procedures, systems, and processes
  • Lead employee engagement, welfare, recognition, and organizational culture initiatives
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, and other employee reward programmes
  • Identify current and future capability requirements and develop appropriate learning and development programmes
  • Provide strategic HR advice to the executive management on people, organizational, and workforce matters
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, employment regulations, and company policies
  • Develop and utilize HR metrics and workforce analytics to support management decision-making

 

Corporate Services Leadership:

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Corporate Services functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Lead and coordinate the performance of Administration, IT, Corporate Communications, Legal & Compliance, and Quality Assurance
  • Establish clear objectives, KPIs, service standards, and performance expectations for Corporate Services functions
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal systems, processes, efficiency, and employee experience
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives and organizational change programmes
  • Develop and oversee the organization's internal and external communication strategy
  • Oversee internal communications, employee engagement communications, corporate announcements, and stakeholder communications
  • Support the organization's reputation, brand, and corporate image
  • Provide oversight of the company’s Client Relations/Client Experience function
  • Provide oversight of organizational risk and compliance activities
  • Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and established standards
  • Support the development of effective risk management and internal control frameworks
  • Provide oversight of administrative and general corporate support services
  • Ensure efficient management of corporate resources, records, facilities, and administrative processes
  • Promote the effective use of technology to improve productivity, efficiency, and business processes.
  • Provide strategic oversight of IT operations and technology systems supporting the organization
  • Act as the central point of coordination for legal matters referred by management, departments, or employees

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant professional certification such as CIPM, NIM, or an equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage.
  • 5 - 7 years of progressive experience overseeing multiple corporate functions, including at least 3 years in a senior HR management or leadership position.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing HR strategies and managing the full employee lifecycle.
  • Strong experience in organizational development, performance management, employee relations, talent management, compensation and benefits, and workforce planning.
  • Experience working closely with senior management or executive leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and expertise in utilizing technology to create streamlined and automated workflows.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, people management, analytical, critical thinking, conflict management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and employment best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities
