Hausa Voice Actor/Presenter
Job descriptions & requirements
We are looking for a Hausa-speaking actor/presenter to feature in short, engaging video lessons within the BrytaAfrica platform.
In these lessons, you will appear on camera delivering pre-written scripts that teach Hausa through everyday conversations and expressions.
These lessons are not live, but they are interactive, designed to help users respond, practice, and build confidence.
This is not a formal teaching role. We’re looking for someone who feels warm, relatable, expressive, and culturally grounded.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver scripts in Hausa and English to teach Hausa to English speakers
- Act naturally while explaining simple words, phrases, and conversations
- Maintain a friendly, conversational tone (not overly formal or rigid)
- Record high-quality video lessons using simple tools (e.g., your phone)
- Upload completed lesson videos to the BrytaAfrica platform
- Support basic administrative tasks related to lesson delivery and content management
- Help bring Hausa language and culture to life through your delivery
What We’re Looking ForRequirements
- Native or fluent Hausa speaker
- Strong English communication skills
- Clear pronunciation and natural speaking style
- Confident and comfortable on camera
- Ability to follow scripts while sounding natural and engaging
- Strong sense of responsibility and professionalism
- Positive, warm, and expressive personality
Preferred
- Acting, presenting, or content creation experience
- Experience teaching or explaining concepts
- Familiarity with teleprompter use
- Passion for African language, culture, and storytelling
Working Conditions
- Contract Duration: Project-based
- Work Model: Fully remote
- Schedule: Flexible, based on production timelines
- Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

- You can use your phone, no studio setup needed
- Keep your audio under 2 minutes as much as possible
- Upload your audio
3. Slate Requirement (Important)
At the beginning of your recording, introduce yourself in English, stating:
- Your full name
- Your location
- Any relevant acting or teaching experience
4. File Naming Format
Name each audio using this format:
FirstName LastName – Script Title
5. Portfolio (Optional but Encouraged)
- Any previous work in acting, teaching, or content creation
