About Oystack
Oystack is a research and writing workspace for academia, scientific research, bio labs, PhD scholars, and students, built to support context-specific research as it is written, reviewed, and extended over time. It provides a LaTeX-native STEM environment with first-class support for equations, figures, and structured documents, forward and backward citation discovery, native citation graphing, semantic search across document libraries, and deep retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
The Role
We are hiring a Founding Growth Executive to lead growth strategy and execution across acquisition, activation, retention, and monetisation. This is a hands-on role for someone who can translate deep research pain points into scalable growth systems.
This role sits at the intersection of product, community, and go-to-market, working closely with the founding team to shape positioning, onboarding, and distribution across universities, labs, and research communities.
What You’ll Own
- Own and execute Oystack’s growth strategy across academia, research labs, and student communities
- Identify and prioritize core user segments (PhD scholars, lab researchers, PIs, and students)
- Drive product-led growth by improving onboarding, activation, and retention
- Build distribution through universities, labs, partnerships, and academic communities
- Create pathways from individual users to team and institutional adoption
- Track growth metrics and run experiments to inform product and positioning decisions
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience driving growth for a complex product (B2B SaaS, dev tools, education, or research-adjacent platforms)
- Ability to communicate credibly with academics and researchers
- Analytical mindset with experience running experiments and measuring outcomes
- High ownership and comfort operating in ambiguity
- Community-led growth or partnerships experience

- Clear positioning that resonates with academic and scientific audiences
- Improved activation and retention among PhD scholars and research teams
- One or more reliable acquisition channels producing consistent growth
- Early institutional or lab-level adoption
- A repeatable path from individual researchers to teams and departments
