Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Abuja for a Golang Programmer. The primary responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining backend solutions with Golang, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. The candidate will work closely with the development team to write clean and efficient code, debug and resolve application issues, participate in code reviews, and contribute to technical decisions and design. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate user-facing elements with backend server logic.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Golang development, including knowledge of concurrency patterns and standard libraries
• Experience with APIs (REST, GraphQL) and working with JSON-based data
• Database management skills, including familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL technologies
• Knowledge of cloud services, containerization tools (e.g., Docker), and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with attention to detail
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and best practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Exposure to frontend technologies and frameworks is a plus
