Job summary
Lextorah is seeking a passionate and experienced German Language Tutor to deliver engaging, high-quality instruction to students across various proficiency levels. The tutor will be responsible for lesson delivery, student assessment, academic reporting, and supporting students throughout their language learning journey.

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning:
- Teach German language classes (A1–B2) in accordance with the approved curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons.
- Develop lesson notes, presentations, and instructional materials where required.
- Prepare students for internationally recognized examinations such as Goethe-Zertifikat.
- Encourage active participation and consistent student progress.
Student Support:
- Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Encourage students to progress to the next level upon course completion.
- Support student retention through effective teaching and engagement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in German, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
- Must have completed NYSC.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching German as a foreign language.
- Demonstrable proficiency in the German language (minimum B2; C1 or higher preferred).
- Experience preparing students for Goethe-Zertifikat examinations is an added advantage.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
- Applicants residing within Yaba or its immediate environs will be given preference.
- Ability to teach evening classes (12:00 PM – 8:00 PM) is an added advantage.
