Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Accurately filling and dispensing prescriptions according to a doctor's orders.
- Educating patients on how and when to take their medication, potential side effects, and important interactions with other drugs.
- Providing immunizations (like flu shots) and conducting screenings for blood sugar, cholesterol, or blood pressure.
- Reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, potential interactions with other medications, and appropriateness for the patient.
- Working with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient treatment plans.
- Maintaining accurate records of medications, especially controlled substances, and managing stock.
- Recommending appropriate non-prescription medications and providing general health advice.
Requirements:
- Minimum BSc
- 1 years of previous work experience in similar role
