Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and loving care to children
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Communicate with children primarily in French to encourage language acquisition
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, naps, and playtime
- Organize educational games, storytelling, and creative play in French
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for the children
- Support homework and school-related tasks if applicable
- Occasionally accompany children to school, appointments, or outings
Requirements:
- Fluency in French (spoken and written); English proficiency is a plus
- Proven experience as a nanny, au pair, or childcare provider
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for children
- Ability to commit to a consistent schedule
- Teaching or an early childhood education background is optional
- Multilingual abilities
- Experience with bilingual households
- Flexibility with working hours and occasional travel
