Commitment: Approximately 15–20 hours per week

We’re currently assembling our founding team and are looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer who is excited about solving meaningful problems and building a product from the ground up.

About the Role

This is a founding engineering role.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable owning both the frontend and backend, contributing to technical architecture, making engineering decisions, and working closely with Product and Design to bring HAVORA’s MVP to life.

This is not a maintenance role you’ll be helping shape the technical foundation of the company.

What You’ll Do

* Architect and build HAVORA’s MVP from the ground up.

* Develop responsive, high-quality frontend interfaces.

* Design and build scalable backend services and APIs.

* Build secure authentication and user management systems.

* Integrate third-party services where necessary.

* Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Product Designers.

* Translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions.

* Participate in technical planning and architecture discussions.

* Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

* Review code and promote engineering best practices.

* Help establish the engineering culture and development workflow.

* Cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP or similar is a plus)

Engineering Practices

* Version control

* Testing fundamentals

* Performance optimization

* Security best practices

* Scalable system design

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

* Has solid commercial or startup engineering experience.

* Has built real-world web applications from concept to deployment.

* Understands both product thinking and engineering execution.

* Appreciates good UI and enjoys working closely with designers.

* Can make technical decisions independently.

* Is proactive, resourceful, and takes ownership.

* Communicates clearly and collaborates effectively.

* Enjoys building products that solve meaningful human problems.

* Wants to help build something significant rather than simply complete tasks.

Nice to Have

* Experience working in startups.

* Experience building marketplace or consumer platforms.

* Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

* Familiarity with analytics and monitoring tools.

* Experience mentoring other engineers.

Compensation

Please note that this is currently a volunteer founding role.

* There is no salary.

* There is no stipend.

* The initial commitment is three (3) months, with the option to extend by mutual agreement.

HAVORA is currently bootstrapped and has not yet raised external funding.

However, our intention is to build a long-term engineering team. As the company grows and secures funding or investment, founding team members who have demonstrated commitment, ownership, and strong performance will be given priority for permanent employment and leadership opportunities.
