Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Production and Operations: Managing the lifecycle from breeding and hatchery operations to the grow-out phase and final harvest.
- Water Quality Management: Conducting regular testing of aquatic environments to ensure oxygen levels and temperatures are optimal for fish welfare.
- Health and Biosecurity: Enforcing hygiene protocols, performing disease identification, and administering treatments.
- Feeding Regimes: Calculating and supervising feeding schedules to maintain optimum growth rates and minimize waste.
- Staff Management: Recruiting, training, and scheduling farm technicians and laborers.
- Business and Administration: Managing farm budgets, ordering feed and equipment, forecasting yields, and ensuring environmental compliance.
Requirements:
- Know administrative and managerial fish farming procedures.
- Ability to maintain a strict fishing schedule and plan.
- Minimum of 2 years in Fish Production
- Possessing stock skills such as Catfish handling, spawning, grading, and harvesting
