FinOps Analyst / Cloud Cost Optimization Specialist

Location: Onsite – Nigeria | Remote – India

We are hiring a FinOps Analyst to drive cloud financial governance, cost optimization, and value realization across enterprise cloud environments. This role will partner with finance, infrastructure, procurement, and engineering teams in a banking setup to maximize ROI while maintaining governance and control.

Key Responsibilities

·       Monitor and analyze cloud spend across Azure / AWS / hybrid environments.

·       Identify cost-saving opportunities through rightsizing, reservations, idle resource cleanup, and architecture optimization.

·       Build dashboards, budgets, forecasts, and monthly variance reports.

·       Establish chargeback / showback models across business units.

·       Work with engineering teams to improve utilization and efficiency.

·       Support vendor negotiations, licensing optimization, and contract utilization.

·       Implement FinOps governance aligned to enterprise controls and audit requirements.

Required Skills

·       6+ years in FinOps, cloud cost management, IT finance, or infrastructure commercial management.

·       Prior experience in Banking / BFSI / Financial Services preferred.

·       Experience with Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer, Apptio, or similar tools.

·       Strong Excel / Power BI / reporting capabilities.

·       Understanding cloud architecture, billing models, and governance.

·       Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

·       FinOps Foundation certification.

·       Experience in large enterprise / regulated industry environments.
