Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
  • Manage financial accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing
  • Oversee bank and payment account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Ensure compliance with statutory financial requirements, including tax filings, VAT, withholding tax, and regulatory submissions
  • Support external audit processes and coordinate documentation for financial reviews
  • Monitor daily cash flow and manage treasury-related activities
  • Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable
  • Develop financial reports, forecasts, and financial models to support management decision-making
  • Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 6–8 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management roles, particularly with "Cross-Border Payments
  • Experience within cross border/international financial services, fintech, banking, or regulated financial institutions is an advantage
  • ICAN (ACA) or ACCA qualification is required
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
  • Experience using accounting or ERP systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools
  • Good understanding of IFRS standards, tax compliance, and financial reporting frameworks
