Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Manage financial accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing
- Oversee bank and payment account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Ensure compliance with statutory financial requirements, including tax filings, VAT, withholding tax, and regulatory submissions
- Support external audit processes and coordinate documentation for financial reviews
- Monitor daily cash flow and manage treasury-related activities
- Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable
- Develop financial reports, forecasts, and financial models to support management decision-making
- Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 6–8 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management roles, particularly with "Cross-Border Payments
- Experience within cross border/international financial services, fintech, banking, or regulated financial institutions is an advantage
- ICAN (ACA) or ACCA qualification is required
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
- Experience using accounting or ERP systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools
- Good understanding of IFRS standards, tax compliance, and financial reporting frameworks
