Financial Controller

Responsibilities:

 • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

 • Manage financial accounting activities including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing.

 • Oversee bank and payment account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.

 • Ensure compliance with statutory financial requirements including tax filings, VAT, withholding tax, and regulatory submissions.

 • Support external audit processes and coordinate documentation for financial reviews.

 • Monitor daily cash flow and manage treasury-related activities.

 • Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable.

 • Develop financial reports, forecasts, and financial models to support management decision-making.

 • Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations.

Requirements:

 • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

 • Minimum of 6–8 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management roles, particularly with "Cross-Border Payments".

 • Experience within cross border/international financial services, fintech, banking, or regulated financial institutions is an advantage

 • ICAN (ACA) or ACCA qualification is required.

 • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling

 • Experience using accounting or ERP systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools

 • Good understanding of IFRS standards, tax compliance, and financial reporting frameworks
