Financial Controller
Job summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller (Cross-Border Payments) to oversee key financial operations and ensure strong financial management within a growing financial services organization. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on finance professional with strong experience across financial reporting, accounting, and regulatory compliance.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Manage financial accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing
- Oversee bank and payment account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Ensure compliance with statutory financial requirements, including tax filings, VAT, withholding tax, and regulatory submissions
- Support external audit processes and coordinate documentation for financial reviews
- Monitor daily cash flow and manage treasury-related activities
- Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable
- Develop financial reports, forecasts, and financial models to support management decision-making
- Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations
- Minimum qualification of an MBA/MS.
- 7 years of previous experience in a similar role.
