Job Title: Finance Officer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type:Full-time
Reports To: Finance Manager
Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer with 3–4 years of relevant experience to support financial operations and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing reconciliations, and supporting day-to-day finance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise requests for verification-related payments for approval and post related transactions.
- Process verification-related payments in a timely manner
- Handle banking transactions for operational activities
- Prepare and file VAT, WHT, and other statutory returns accurately and within deadlines
- Maintain and update the fixed assets register on a monthly basis, applying appropriate depreciation rates.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and resolve variances
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 – 4 years of relevant work experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
- Good knowledge of financial reporting and statutory compliance (VAT, WHT, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
