Finance Manager

Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:

• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions in line with accounting standards.
• Provide management reports, variance analysis, and financial insights to support decision-making.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning.

Budgeting & Financial Planning:

• Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
• Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Support pricing, cost analysis, and profitability reviews for laboratory services.
• Provide financial input into strategic and operational plans.

Compliance, Audit & Governance:

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and financial policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Maintain strong internal controls and financial risk management practices.
• Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness at all times.

Accounts, Treasury & Tax Management:

• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Manage vendor payments and receivables from corporate and institutional clients.
• Ensure timely tax filings (VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT, etc.) and statutory remittances.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.

Cost Control & Operational Support:

• Monitor operational expenses across departments (Admin, HR, Labs, Procurement).
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
• Support procurement processes with financial evaluations and approvals.
• Track CAPEX and asset management for laboratory equipment and facilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with HR on payroll, manpower cost analysis, and workforce planning.
• Support Operations and Lab Heads with financial data for service optimization.
• Partner with Business Development on pricing, contracts, and revenue tracking.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance Economics or a related field. Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) is required.
• Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
• Experience in healthcare diagnostics or service-based organizations is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of the Nigerian tax and regulatory environment. Skills & Competencies
