Job summary

We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Finance & Operations Analyst to support the financial and operational discipline of the business. This role will report directly to the Operations Lead and will play a critical role in ensuring that financial processes are structured, accurate, and consistently executed.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
Financial Operations and Control:
  • Track and manage company expenses and cash flow
  • Ensure all vendor payments, salaries, and bills are processed accurately and on time
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date financial records
  • Support day-to-day financial operations with discipline and consistency
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports
  • Provide visibility into: Cash position, Burn rate, Key cost drivers
  • Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for leadership
  • Build structured reports using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Forecasting and Planning:
  • Develop and maintain simple financial forecasts and models
  • Track actual performance vs forecasts
  • Support budgeting and financial planning processes
  • Highlight risks and areas of concern proactively
System Building and Process Improvement:
  • Design and implement simple, effective financial systems and processes
  • Improve tracking, reporting, and accountability across the business
  • Build lightweight tools/models that support decision-making
  • Ensure consistency and repeatability in financial processes
Cross-Functional Support:
  • Work closely with the Operations Lead to support business operations
  • Provide financial and operational insights that improve decision-making
  • Support teams with structured data and reporting as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 3–5 years experience in finance, operations, or financial analysis
  • Experience in a startup, tech company, or marketplace environment
  • Strong proficiency in:Microsoft Excel (advanced), PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to work independently and execute with minimal supervision
  • Experience building financial models or dashboards
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles and local regulations 
  • Experience working in high-growth environments
  • Ability to simplify complex financial information for non-finance stakeholders
What Success Looks Like (First 3–6 Months):
  • Clear and reliable financial tracking system in place
  • Weekly reporting becomes consistent and actionable
  • All payments and expenses managed without delays or errors
  • Improved visibility into company burn and financial position
  • Reduced need for CEO involvement in operational finance matters
