Finance & Accounts Officer

Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
• Prepare journal entries, general ledger postings, and bank reconciliations.
• Track income, expenses, payables, and receivables.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Generate management reports to support decision-making.
• Analyze financial data and highlight trends, variances, and risks.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in preparing annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and report variances to management.
• Support financial planning processes for projects and operations.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Process invoices, payments, receipts, and requisitions.
• Manage vendor accounts and ensure timely settlements.
• Follow up on outstanding receivables.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure financial operations comply with relevant regulations and standards.
• Support internal and external audit exercises.
• Maintain accurate documentation for compliance and regulatory filings.

Payroll & Statutory Deductions

• Prepare monthly payroll and ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions (PAYE, Pension, NHF, etc.).
• Maintain employee compensation records.

Financial Controls

• Implement and maintain effective internal control systems.
• Safeguard company assets through proper documentation and verification.

Requirements:

• Minimum of an OND qualification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience. 
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Sharp time management skills
