Job summary

We are seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Field and Retail Sales Consultant to join our Consumer Electronics & Mobile Devices field and retail sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, driving sales, demonstrating products, and delivering an exceptional sales experience. The role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to meet sales targets in a fast-paced sales environment.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Attend to customers promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive and engaging experience.
  • Identify customer needs through active listening and effective questioning, and recommend suitable mobile phones, accessories, and electronic devices based on preferences and budget.
  • Conduct detailed product demonstrations, clearly explaining specifications, features, benefits, pricing, warranties, and promotions in customer-friendly language.
  • Drive sales performance by achieving and exceeding assigned daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
  • Upsell and cross-sell complementary products and related electronic devices to increase transaction value.
  • Maintain strong and up-to-date knowledge of all products, including brand comparisons, technical differences, new arrivals, and industry trends.
  • Accurately process sales transactions using the POS system, handle cash/card/transfer payments responsibly, and issue receipts and warranty documentation correctly.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and promptly report discrepancies or operational issues to the Store Manager.
  • Monitor stock levels, report low inventory, assist with receiving and verifying deliveries, and participate in periodic stock counts and inventory audits.
  • Ensure products are properly labelled, price-tagged, and attractively displayed while maintaining store cleanliness and organisation.
  • Provide after-sales support by addressing customer inquiries, guiding customers on warranty processes, and resolving minor complaints professionally while escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies, security procedures, and operational standards, maintaining professionalism and safeguarding customer and company information at all times.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of OND/HND/B.Sc (preferred but not mandatory with strong experience)
  • 1–3 years of field, retail or sales experience. Sales experience in the electronics/mobile industry will be given priority
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills
  • Good  knowledge of smartphones and electronic devices will also be an advantage
  • Target-driven and confident personality
  • Professional appearance and customer-oriented attitude


Remuneration: NGN 200,000
