Role Summary
The Field Operations Manager will oversee BioVana’s on-ground programme activities across partner sites. The role focuses on coordinating field workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the effective use of BioVana’s digital systems. It requires strong operational leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to navigate complex healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Field Operations
- Coordinate and support the operational execution of clinical research projects across multiple partnering institutions and biobank networks.
- Develop and maintain site-level workstreams, including readiness assessments, workflow coordination, and compliance with project procedures.
- Oversee the proper organisation, tracking, and transfer of study materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Promote consistent use of BioVana’s digital platforms to strengthen process documentation, traceability, and data-management practices
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation - including timelines, activity trackers, performance metrics, and status reports - to enable effective monitoring.
- Prepare routine operational summaries and escalate issues, delays, or process deviations to leadership for timely resolution
2. Ethics & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare and manage regulatory and ethics submissions, approvals, renewals, and protocol amendments.
- Ensure processes align with BioVana’s ethics and data-governance frameworks.
- Maintain deviation logs, incident reports, CAPA files, and regulatory documentation.
3. Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as BioVana’s primary liaison with clinicians, lab teams, biobank managers, and administrators.
- Provide onboarding, training, and routine performance monitoring of site personnel.
- Align operations with data and product teams to ensure accurate digital workflows
4. Quality Assurance & Reporting
- Track KPIs including recruitment numbers, sample integrity, consent completeness, and data quality.
- Conduct onsite monitoring visits and performance audits.
- Prepare weekly operational reports and monthly consolidated dashboards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Research, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3-5 years managing multi-site clinical operations or screening programmes.
- Strong knowledge of local regulations and clinical/research ethics processes.
- Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Willingness to travel extensively.
