Job summary
We are developing a simple digital platform designed to help everyday traders and micro-business owners better understand and keep track of their businesses. We are preparing to conduct an initial pilot programme with traders in a selected Lagos market and are looking for a capable, organised and hands-on Field Coordinator to lead our day-to-day pilot

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the day-to-day execution of the Lagos market pilot.
- Build relationships with market leaders and trader associations.
- Recruit, train and supervise Market Champions.
- Coordinate trader recruitment and onboarding.
- Observe how traders actually use the platform.
- Conduct interviews and gather honest user feedback.
- Identify problems traders experience and report them clearly.
- Track trader activation, usage and retention.
- Coordinate weekly conversations between selected traders and the project leadership.
- Prepare concise daily and weekly pilot reports.
- Manage approved field expenses and maintain proper records.
- Work closely with the technical team to escalate product and technical issues.
Requirements:
- You may be a strong candidate if you have experience in Fintech field operations, POS/merchant acquisition, Microfinance, FMCG field sales, Telecom agent networks, NGO/community programmes, Market research, SME support programmes and Other grassroots field operations
- Be based in Lagos.
- Have approximately 2–5 years of relevant field experience.
- Be comfortable working inside open markets.
- Be able to manage a small field team.
- Have good smartphone and digital skills.
- Be comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets.
- Communicate clearly in English.
- Be comfortable communicating in Nigerian Pidgin.
- Yoruba language ability is highly desirable.
- Be organised and able to work independently.
- Be comfortable reporting to project leadership located outside Nigeria.

Contract Type:
- The initial engagement will be for approximately three months, covering the pilot period.
- Strong performance may lead to an opportunity to take on a larger role as the project expands.
