Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, splice, test, and maintain fibre optic cables.
- Conduct fibre optic testing using OTDR and power meter.
- Identify and troubleshoot fibre optic faults.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation.
- Ensure all installations meet required technical and safety standards.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a technical team.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant experience* in fibre optic engineering or a related field.
- OND/HND/B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Practical knowledge of fibre optic installation, splicing, testing, and fault diagnosis.
- Ability to use fibre optic testing equipment and tools.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel when required.
