Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain the school's building automation system, e.g., lighting control, HVAC, security alarms, and surveillance.
- Conduct routine inspections of school buildings and facilities to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Implement computerized maintenance management systems for tracking work orders, preventive maintenance, and asset history.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the school premises.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to plan and allocate classrooms, laboratories, and event halls based on student population and teaching style.
- Oversee waste management and environmental sustainability initiatives, e.g., recycling programs and water conservation.
- Prepare and manage the facilities department budget, including maintenance, repairs, and procurement.
- Ensure proper functioning and integration of ICT facilities such as projectors, smart boards, and PA systems within the classroom.
- Work closely with the academic and administrative teams to schedule and manage event setups and breakdowns.
- Plan and coordinate logistical support for the school events such as assemblies, graduation ceremonies, sport competitions, seminars, and parent-teacher meetings.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree i Facility Management, Engineering, Building Management, Estate Management, or any related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Facility Management, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and facility management software.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve facility-related faults efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of school operations and learning environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and inspiring educational space.
- Familiarity with facility management software for scheduling, tracking, and reporting maintenance activities.
- Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills to coordinate maintenance staff, cleaners, gardeners, and the security teams.
- Knowledge of building and construction standards and educational facility compliance requirements.
Remuneration: NGN 200,000-250,000
Location: Ilupeju, Lagos.
Work Hours: 7:30 am - 5 am, Monday to Friday
