Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with accounting standards and ministry policies.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and reports to support leadership in decision-making.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, donor accountability requirements, and financial reporting standards.
• Manage both restricted and unrestricted funds, ensuring proper documentation and allocation.
• Assist in financial planning, forecasting, and resource allocation for ministry projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is an advantage).
  
• Minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a ministry, church, or nonprofit organization.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and donor fund management.
• Familiarity with tax compliance, payroll management, and nonprofit financial regulations.
• Provide financial reports to the board, auditors, and relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling all financial matters.
• A born-again Christian with a strong biblical foundation and a commitment to Christ-centered living.
• A person of high integrity, humility, and spiritual maturity, demonstrating a lifestyle that aligns with biblical values.
