English Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
  
• Teach grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, creative writing, and literature.
• Evaluate student performance through assessments and assignments.
• Guide students in phonics, reading fluency, and writing improvement.
• Prepare teaching materials and learning aids.
• Keep accurate records of students’ academic progress and attendance.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
• Collaborate with other teachers to improve teaching strategies and curriculum delivery.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings and other programs organized by the school.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance.
• Uphold all school policies, safeguarding standards, and academic expectations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Education, or related field.
• Teaching qualification (NCE, PGDE, TRCN certification preferable).
• Minimum of 2-5 years teaching experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Excellent classroom management
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Creativity in teaching reading and writing
• Proficiency with educational technologies
• Patience, empathy, and strong instructional skills
• Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, ethical conduct and integrity.
• Confidentiality and student welfare awareness.

Work Condition:

• Full-time, on-site role
  
• Teaching load as assigned by the Head of School
• Occasional weekend activities
