Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Design, install, and commission solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
- Plan, supervise, and maintain power generation systems.
- Carry out electrical wiring for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems.
- Conduct site surveys, electrical load assessments, and feasibility studies.
- Prepare electrical drawings, technical reports, and project documentation.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and standards.
- Supervise technicians, contractors, and project teams.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Liaise with clients and provide technical support throughout project execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
- Sound knowledge of solar energy systems, power generation, wiring, and power distribution.
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD or similar applications.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Membership or registration with relevant engineering professional bodies is an added advantage.
