Responsibilities:

Carry out routine servicing and preventive maintenance of petrol and diesel generators.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in generator sets.
Install, commission, and test new generators to ensure proper operation.
Troubleshoot engine, fuel, cooling, lubrication, charging, and electrical system faults.
Replace defective parts such as filters, belts, injectors, batteries, alternators, starters, sensors, hoses, and fuel pumps.
Perform engine overhauls and major repairs when required.
Monitor generator performance and recommend repairs or component replacements to prevent breakdowns.
Inspect generator control panels, wiring, batteries, and safety systems for proper functionality.
Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and repair reports.
Ensure generators comply with operational and safety standards.
Respond promptly to emergency generator breakdowns and restore equipment to service with minimal downtime.
Maintain generator rooms and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of fuels, oils, coolants, and other maintenance materials.
Properly use and maintain workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing instruments.
Adhere to all workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure continuous facility operations.
Perform any other generator maintenance duties assigned by management.
