Job Summary

A leading microfinance bank is seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Deposit Mobilizer to join their team. In this pivotal role, the Deposit Mobilizer will be responsible for driving the growth of the bank's deposit base by acquiring new clients and nurturing existing relationships.

Job Description/Requirements


Deposit Mobilization:

  • Identify and attract new depositors by conducting market research, networking, and utilizing various sales techniques.
  • Promote and explain the bank’s deposit products and services to potential clients.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase the deposit base and achieve sales targets.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure their needs are met and to identify opportunities for additional services.
  • Provide personalized banking solutions and financial advice to clients.

Sales and Marketing:

  • Participate in marketing campaigns and promotional activities to raise awareness of the bank’s deposit products.
  • Organize and attend community events, trade shows, and networking events to generate leads.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute targeted marketing strategies.

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive banking experience.
  • Educate clients on the benefits of various deposit products and services offered by the bank.
  • Assist clients with the account opening process and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all deposit mobilization activities, client interactions, and sales performance.
  • Prepare regular reports on deposit growth, sales activities, and market feedback for management review
  • Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Professional Development

  • Stay up to date with industry regulations, product updates, and best practices in deposit mobilization
  • Continuously enhance your knowledge of the bank's deposit offerings, policies, and procedures
  • Participate in training programs and workshops to improve sales techniques, customer service skills, and product expertise
  • Collaborate with the training and development team to share insights and contribute to the professional growth of the sales force


  • Ideal candidate should have an HND/ bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience in sales, marketing, or customer service, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and building strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
