Job Summary

The Data Analyst (Monitoring and Evaluation data protection Officer) will primarily work with the Support Unit in collating, aggregating, analyzing, and visualizing data from multiple sources (quantitative and qualitative). This role is essential to shaping the 10-Year Impact Report of She Writes Woman by transforming data into compelling insights, trends, and narratives that reflect our journey.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Collate and clean data from helpline calls, teletherapy logs, case notes, and feedback systems
  • Aggregate and analyse both structured and unstructured data to uncover trends, patterns, and performance insights
  • Work closely with the team to shape data into storytelling
  • Design and maintain dashboards for real-time tracking of helpline/teletherapy metrics
  • Generate visuals, graphs, charts, and infographics for the 10-Year Impact Report
  • Assist in drafting the data and outcomes sections of the report with strong narrative support
  • Present findings to internal teams and stakeholders in clear, actionable formats
  • Ensure data compliance with ethical, privacy, and safeguarding standards, especially concerning sensitive mental health records
  • Standardise data collection, management, and processing systems in the organisation



Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, Psychology, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field
  • At least 4 years of proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a health, humanitarian, or development sector context
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualisation tools
  • Experience with both quantitative and qualitative data sets
  • Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS, R, STATA, or Python
  • Demonstrated ability to convert data into visual and written stories
  • Based in Abuja, with the ability to work onsite (this is a non-remote role)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong ethical grounding and sensitivity to mental health, disability rights, and vulnerable populations
  • Prior experience working with mental health, psychosocial support, or helpline/teletherapy programs
  • Familiarity with global reporting frameworks (SDGs, WHO MHATs, or MHIS)
  • Experience with GIS or geo-mapping tools for visualising service distribution
  • Knowledge of Nigerian data protection regulations and humanitarian principles
  • Experience working with international NGOs, donors, or multilaterals (e.g,. WHO, UN, DFID, USAID)
  • Certification in Monitoring & Evaluation or Data for Development
