Role Description

The Cyber Security Instructor will deliver instructor-led training on core cybersecurity topics, including application, network, and information security, as well as malware analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and training materials, teaching classes, guiding hands-on labs, and assessing learner progress through assignments, quizzes, and exams. The instructor will mentor learners on certification preparation, support curriculum improvement, and ensure training content stays up to date with current threats, tools, and industry best practices. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Enugu North, requiring regular classroom presence and collaboration with the training team.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with the ability to teach foundational and advanced concepts.
• Expertise in Network Security, including secure network design, monitoring, and incident response.
• Proficiency in Application Security, covering secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, and mitigation techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Malware Analysis, including identifying, analyzing, and documenting malicious software behavior.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
• Prior experience as an instructor, trainer, or facilitator in IT or cybersecurity is an advantage.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse learners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to design practical labs, use security tools, and integrate real-world case studies into teaching.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging threats, frameworks, and security standards.
