Job Summary

Marketplace Naija is growing, and we are looking for someone who enjoys helping people and can communicate clearly. You will serve as the first point of contact for users who need help with orders, payments, listings, or general platform questions. If you are patient, organised, and love problem-solving, this role will suit you well.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries through chat, email, WhatsApp, and phone.
  • Post and manage our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, X formerly Twitter)
  • Help users resolve account, listing, or transaction issues.
  • Track and follow up on open support tickets to ensure timely resolution.
  • Escalate technical or complex issues to the appropriate team.
  • Assist in gathering customer feedback to help improve platform features and user experience.
  • Maintain clear documentation of user conversations and resolutions.


Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service or support role.
  • Minimum of an OND certificate
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable using WhatsApp, email tools, and basic CRM or support platforms.
  • Patient, attentive, and able to stay calm when handling frustrated users.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Reliable internet connection and access to a working smartphone or laptop.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian online buying and selling culture is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with online marketplaces or eCommerce platforms will be preferred
