Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and teach art curriculum for high school students, incorporating various art forms such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking.
- Plan and implement engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Encourage students to explore their creativity, develop their artistic skills, and build confidence in their abilities.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of student achievement.
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art with other subjects and promote cross-curricular learning.
- Organize and participate in art exhibitions, competitions, and other extracurricular activities to showcase student work.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or experience in art education.
- Strong knowledge of art history, theory, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Creativity, patience, and passion for art education.
