Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Transport assigned staff to and from destinations.
- Drive the staff bus when required.
- Fulfil administrative needs, like office pickups and deliveries
- Research and plan for traffic, construction and weather delays
- Use navigation applications to determine the best route
- Always interact with staff professionally
- Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
- Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed
- Keep mileage records and repair records up to date
- Comply with all traffic laws and school safety regulations
- Represent the school positively and professionally in interactions with customers and the public.
- Help with loading and unloading vehicles when necessary.
- Any other duty as assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record for at least three years
- Ability to drive for extended periods
- Strong commitment to safety
- Excellent navigational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance
- Awareness of the importance of child protection and safeguarding of children is an added advantage.
