About the Role

In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious dishes from scratch, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation. You'll work collaboratively within our kitchen team, adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a wide range of African and Continental dishes according to recipes and chef's instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Work effectively within the kitchen team, ensuring smooth operation during service hours.
  • Learn new recipes and cooking techniques quickly.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, prepping ingredients, and plating dishes.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen setting.
  • Proven ability to prepare a variety of African and Continental dishes.
  • Strong knife skills and a good understanding of cooking techniques.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong team player with a positive and can-do attitude.
  • A fast learner with a willingness to develop new skills and knowledge.
