Job summary
We are currently seeking an entry-level continental and intercontinental Chef who has basic knowledge of food safety procedures, handling skills, and expertise.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items as directed by senior chefs
- Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices at all times
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the workstation
- Support in daily mise en place and prep production
- Adhere to kitchen SOPs and health & safety regulations
- Assist in stock rotation (FIFO) and proper storage of ingredients
- Report any equipment faults or shortages to the supervisor
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely service delivery
- Follow instructions from Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Head Chef
- Basic culinary training or relevant experience in a kitchen
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Attention to detail and consistency in food preparation
- Time management skills
