Job summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to diagnose, treat, and manage conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. The ideal candidate will perform both elective and emergency surgical procedures and provide comprehensive orthopaedic care.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal injuries and disorders
- Perform orthopaedic surgeries, including fracture repair, joint replacement, spinal procedures, and trauma surgery
- Manage emergency trauma and accident cases
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-ups
- Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, radiologists, anesthetists, and other specialists
- Interpret diagnostic imaging such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans
- Provide outpatient and inpatient orthopaedic consultations
- Participate in on-call emergency trauma coverage
- Maintain accurate surgical and clinical documentation
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and surgical safety standards
- Mentor junior doctors and surgical trainees
Requirements:
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- Fellowship in Orthopaedics (FWACS, FMCS, MRCS, or equivalent)
- Valid practicing license with MDCN
- Minimum of 5–10 years post-specialist surgical experience
- Strong expertise in orthopaedic and trauma surgery
- Experience with modern surgical techniques and equipment
- Excellent decision-making and surgical precision skills
