Role Description: As a Computer Repair Technician at myComputerENGR, you will provide hands-on diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of desktop computers and related hardware. This full-time, on-site role is based in Lagos State, Nigeria, and involves responding to service requests, identifying issues, replacing components, and performing routine system checks. You will install and configure operating systems and basic software, test systems after repairs, and document all work performed. The role includes providing technical support to users, explaining issues and solutions in clear terms, and escalating complex problems when needed. You will collaborate with team members to prioritise tasks, maintain an organised workspace, and help improve repair processes and service quality.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in Computer Science or related field, with understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and basic networking concepts.
- Hands-on experience in Troubleshooting and Technical Support, including diagnosing hardware and software issues and resolving user-reported problems.
- Proven skills in Computer Repair for Laptop and Desktop Computers, including component replacement, system upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear, simple language.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Lagos State, Nigeria, manage multiple tasks, and prioritise repair in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, hardware repair certifications) are an advantage.
- Previous experience in a computer repair shop, IT support team, or field service role is preferred.
