Responsibilities:
- Oversee computer systems, networks, and peripheral equipment to ensure they are running properly.
- Perform regular upkeep, such as running antivirus scans, installing updates, and cleaning equipment.
- Identify and resolve technical issues with hardware, software, and networks - this can involve diagnosing errors and correcting them.
- Input data, run jobs based on instructions, and ensure data integrity.
- Perform data backups and restore procedures to prevent data loss and ensure security protocols are followed.
- Provide technical assistance to end-users, answering questions and resolving their computer-related issues.
- Maintain logs of system performance, maintenance activities, and user requests.
- Monitor hardware inventory, install new equipment, and manage peripherals.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma (SSCE) is often sufficient, but an associate's degree in a computer-related field can be preferred.
- Proficiency in computer systems, operating systems, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and data entry.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail are important for handling user inquiries and resolving complex problems.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
