Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality multimedia content, including videos, graphics, photographs, audio, animations, and platform-specific digital content that drives engagement, conversions, and audience growth across all communication channels.
  • Produce compelling short-form and long-form content, including blogs, website content, newsletters, reports, email campaigns, scripts, opinion pieces, impact stories, and social media copy.
  • Write SEO-optimized content for the organization's website, blogs, digital publications, and other online platforms to improve search visibility and audience reach.
  • Develop compelling hooks and scripts for digital content that capture audience attention within the first 3–5 seconds, sustain engagement, and improve watch rates and overall content performance
  • Manage the organization's social media platforms, ensuring consistent, high-quality, and timely content publishing.
  • Build, nurture, and moderate multiple online communities by responding to enquiries, addressing audience concerns, encouraging meaningful conversations, and maintaining high levels of daily engagement.
  • Monitor emerging digital and social media trends and proactively leverage relevant conversations to increase organizational visibility, audience engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute monthly and quarterly content calendars, ensuring timely delivery of content across all digital platforms.
  • Batch-create and coordinate content that transforms daily organizational activities, programme implementation, frontline worker experiences, beneficiary stories, and impact into engaging digital storytelling.
  • Plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing campaigns across social media and digital platforms.
  • Manage paid advertising campaigns, including Facebook Ads and other digital advertising platforms, utilizing audience targeting, retargeting, conversion funnels, audience optimization, and campaign performance monitoring to maximize results.
  • Support awareness, advocacy, fundraising, and behavioural change campaigns through innovative digital communication strategies.
  • Draft and disseminate high-quality press releases, media advisories, public statements, crisis or downtime statements, speeches, talking points, and other external communication materials.
  • Ensure all public communications appropriately consider legal, reputational, safeguarding, and compliance risks before publication.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with journalists, media organizations, influencers, celebrities, thought leaders, ambassadors, and other external stakeholders to enhance organizational visibility and support advocacy initiatives.
  • Coordinate media engagements, interviews, public appearances, and strategic communication opportunities.
  • Produce high-quality graphic design, video editing, motion graphics, animations, subtitles, and other creative assets using platforms such as Canva, CapCut, InShot, and similar creative software.
  • Design flyers, banners, quote cards, presentations, report covers, social media creatives, campaign materials, and other branded communication products.
  • Ensure consistency in the organization's visual identity, messaging, tone, and branding across all communication materials and digital platforms.
  • Manage and regularly update the organization's website with relevant, engaging, and SEO-friendly content.
  • Support email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and digital publications that strengthen stakeholder engagement and organizational visibility.
  • Monitor content performance, audience engagement, campaign effectiveness, website traffic, watch rates, and other communication metrics using relevant analytics tools.
  • Analyze communication data and generate regular performance reports with actionable recommendations to improve audience reach, engagement, conversion, and overall communication effectiveness.
  • Continuously optimize communication strategies based on analytics, audience behaviour, and emerging digital trends.
  • Collaborate closely with programme teams to document organizational impact, success stories, beneficiary experiences, and frontline worker contributions.
  • Develop communication materials that effectively showcase programme outcomes and organizational achievements to donors, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with influencers, media personalities, celebrities, ambassadors, and sector leaders to promote organizational campaigns, increase public awareness, and strengthen support for mental health and social impact initiatives.
  • Provide communications support during organizational events, trainings, conferences, advocacy campaigns, media engagements, and public awareness activities.
  • Maintain an organized repository of communication assets, publications, multimedia files, photographs, videos, and branding materials.
  • Perform any other communications-related duties assigned by the Management to support the achievement of organizational objectives.


Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Marketing, English, or a related field.
  • A Master’s Degree (M.Sc./M.A.) in Mass Communication, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Marketing, English, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4–5 years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, media, or digital communications.
  • Demonstrated understanding of platform-specific algorithms, audience behaviours, content formats, and engagement strategies across social media platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube. 
  • Ability to create multimedia content (video, pictures, audio, and other platform-specific content) that converts, engages audiences, and is highly shareable across different digital platforms.
  • Ability to stay on top of digital and social media trends, creating relevant content that aligns with emerging conversations and audience interests.
  • Ability to use Mailchimp, MailerLite or email marketing platforms to drive, track, build mailing lists, drive traffic downloads and sustain weekly newsletters that convert and improve audience growth, engagement, retention, and conversion rates over time.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage digital marketing ecosystems, including lead magnets, SL freebies, conversion funnels, audience nurturing, and user journey optimization.
  • Ability to create compelling hooks and scripting styles that capture attention within the first 3–5 seconds, sustain audience engagement, and increase watch rates by over 50%.
  • Strong short-form content writing skills that capture attention within the first three seconds, sustain engagement beyond this point, and improve watch rates and overall content performance.
  • Strong long-form content writing and copywriting skills, including SEO-optimized content for websites, blogs, reports, and digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising, including Facebook Ads, audience targeting, retargeting, sales/engagement funnels, audience optimization, and campaign performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple online communities, ensuring daily engagement, responding to audience pain points, staying on top of trending topics, and leveraging trends to foster meaningful conversations and community engagement.
  • Ability to manage external relationships with influencers, celebrities, thought leaders, media personalities, and strategic partners to secure participation, collaboration, and buy-in for social impact initiatives and campaigns.
  • Ability to develop high-quality media communications, including press releases, public statements, crisis or downtime statements, and other media copy, while taking into consideration legal, reputational, and compliance risks.
  • Intermediate knowledge of video, graphic, and audio editing platforms such as Canva, CapCut, InShot, and similar tools, including text animation, basic motion graphics, transitions, subtitles, and other engaging editing techniques for attention retention and predetermined impact
  • Ability to develop comprehensive content calendars and batch content effectively, with a strong understanding of how to transform daily organizational activities, programmes and milestones, frontline worker experiences, and beneficiary stories into impactful digital content.
  • Ability to monitor content performance, engagement metrics, and platform analytics, using insights to continuously optimize content strategy and improve audience reach and conversion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment, initiative, and accountability in delivering assigned responsibilities. 


Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within the development, social impact, nonprofit, humanitarian, governance, or public health sector.
  • Graphic design skills with the ability to create flyers, quote cards, banners, report cover pages, social media creatives, and other branded communication materials.
  • Prior involvement in mental health advocacy, policy work, public awareness campaigns, or donor-funded programmes is an added advantage.
