Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a communications strategy
  • Write press releases, stories, newsletters, and donor updates
  • Manage brand voice and media relationships
  • Secure media features, interviews, and speaking opportunities
  • Lead community engagement (events & virtual groups)
  • Oversee social media, blog, and newsletter content
  • Manage and mentor junior communications staff



Requirements:
  • 4–6+ years in communications, PR, journalism, or similar
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills
  • Proven media relations and placement experience
  • Experience building and managing communities
  • Strategic, organised, and digitally savvy
  • Journalism or think tank background  (Preferred)
  • Community/event organising experience (Preferred)
  • Multilingual (English + French/Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa) (Preferred)
  • Brand development or repositioning experience (Preferred)
